Join a close knit, family-oriented optometry practice in Joondalup. Run by a husband-and-wife team, Ernie Hawes Optometrist is all about building lasting relationships with patients and providing quality care, without the pressure of KPIs.

We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant or Dispenser to join our team. While some optical experience is required, we’re happy to train the right person who has been in the industry and is ready to grow their skills.

What you’ll do:

• Dispense completed spectacles and adjust frames
• Assist with bookings, payments, and claims (private health/Medicare)
• Maintain displays and ensure practice areas are welcoming and tidy
• Provide exceptional patient care and support a friendly team environment

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in optical or related industry
• Experience with Sunix practice management system is ideal
• A team player who enjoys a community focused, relationship driven practice

Hours:

• Part time - 4.5 days/week, Tuesday to Saturday, up to 32hrs
• or job-share: flexible options available, including alternate Saturdays
