Alstonville Optometry is a well-established independent practice known for personalised care, quality eyewear, and a genuinely supportive team. We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant/Dispenser to join us 2–3 days per week in a hands-on, patient-focused role.

The Role

This is a varied position where you’ll be involved across the full patient journey - from first impression to final fit.

You’ll be:

• Styling frames and guiding patients through lens options with confidence
• Providing accurate dispensing and measurements
• Supporting adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Assisting with reception, bookings, and day-to-day practice flow

It’s a role for someone who enjoys both the technical side of optics and the human side of patient care.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in an optical practice (dispensing or optical assistant role)
• A strong eye for style and confidence in frame selection
• Natural ability to build rapport and create a positive patient experience
• Solid organisation skills and confidence managing appointments and admin
• A team-first mindset - someone who contributes, not just turns up

The Offer

• Casual position | 2–3 days per week (weekday roster)
• $35–$45 per hour, aligned with experience
