Darling Downs Optometry is a well-established practice known for its commitment to providing high-quality eye care services. Our team consists of 2 experienced Optometrists, and 2 experienced Dispensers. We pride ourselves on working collaboratively and sharing the workload to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and staff.

Role Details:

• Hours: Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with flexibility to cover sick and annual leave when required.

• Location: Toowoomba

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reception Duties: Appointment bookings, checking patients in on arrival, managing phone calls, and invoicing.

• Dispensing Duties: Assisting patients with glasses, including frame and lens recommendations, and providing personalised advice.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with Optomate practice management software (preferred but not essential).

• Previous dispensing experience is highly regarded.

• Comfortable working with different Optometrists and adapting to varied patient needs.

• A team player who is eager to learn and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Someone already working in an optical practice and looking for additional hours would find this role ideal.
