Dr Alan Burrow Optometry are looking for a passionate Optical Receptionist to join our practice on a part-time basis.

If you love being the calm, organised face of a practice and enjoy helping patients feel welcome from the moment they walk in, this could be your ideal reception role - optical experience welcome but not essential.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be the welcoming face of our practice - so we’re after someone who is confident, caring, and organised. Ideally, you’ll have:

• 2+ years of experience in office administration or reception
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to delivering outstanding patient service
• A professional and polished presentation
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Great time management and the ability to multitask
• A willingness to learn and grow in the role

Optical experience is highly regarded but not essential. We’ll provide full training in optical dispensing for the right candidate.

Your Day to Day

You’ll play a key role in keeping our clinic running smoothly and providing a great experience for every patient. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing front desk and general reception duties
• Booking and assisting with patient appointments
• Supporting the team with daily operations
• Ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all
