Are you detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about fashion-forward eyewear? Eyecentric in Manuka, Canberra, is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant/Dispenser to join our boutique practice.

About the Role:

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our optometrists, providing high-quality optical dispensing services while assisting with administrative and clinical support. You’ll enjoy variety in your day - from dispensing and frame styling, to pre-testing, contact lens teaching, and supporting dry eye treatments (full training provided).

The position is part-time and includes rotating Saturday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on lens and frame selection to suit patients’ needs

• Perform dispensing, adjustments, and frame repairs

• Support optometrists with pre-testing and patient care

• Assist with contact lens teaching and dry eye treatments

• Maintain accurate patient records

• Contribute to merchandising and visual presentation of frames

• Opportunity to assist with practice social media content

• Experienced in optical dispensing or keen to develop your dispensing skills
