Optical Assistant / Dispenser – Part Time

Join a welcoming, patient-focused optometry team in Bentleigh! Family Eyecare is looking for a reliable and proactive Optical Assistant/Dispenser to provide exceptional service to our patients.

Hours:

• Wednesday: 9:30am-6pm or 8:45am-5:45pm (rotating)
• Friday: 9:30am-5:30pm
• Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm
• Flexibility to cover sick and annual leave as needed

What you’ll be doing:

• General optical dispensing
• Reception duties and patient support
• Assisting with frame selection
• Processing deliveries and payments
• Going above and beyond to ensure a positive patient experience

What we’re looking for:

• Previous optical experience preferred
• Excellent retail and customer service skills
• Proactive, reliable, and a team player
• Ability to use initiative and provide personalised care

• Hourly rate: $28-$32/hr, commensurate with experience
