Casual Optical Assistant /Dispenser

Kimber Optical is a long-standing independent optometry practice in the heart of Hurstville, proudly caring for generations of local families since 1931. We’re a small team with a genuinely big heart - the kind of practice where patients are known by name, not appointment number.

We’re looking for a casual team member to join us on Saturdays (9:00am–2:00pm), with the opportunity to pick up an additional weekday (most often Monday or Tuesday, though this may vary week to week).

About the Role

This is a varied, people-facing role suited to someone who enjoys both customer service and healthcare environments.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Front desk & reception duties
• Welcoming patients and managing appointments
• Frame styling and assisting with eyewear selection
• Sales and general practice support
• Light social media involvement (optional if this interests you)

About You

• Mandarin-speaking skills are highly regarded, but not essential
• Optical experience is preferred, but not required
• Backgrounds in retail, medical, allied health or reception are a great fit
• Friendly, reliable, and confident communicating with a diverse community
• Enjoys working in a close-knit, independent practice
