Optical Dispenser / Receptionist (Part-Time)

Ocean Eyes Optometrists is a well-established, independent practice in Ocean Grove, known for professional, patient-focused eyecare — with no KPIs, no hard sell, and no Sunday work.

We are seeking a part-time Optical Dispenser / Receptionist to join our friendly, close-knit team.

The Role

A varied front-of-house role combining reception and dispensing support in a calm, supportive environment.

Hours:

• Thursday & Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
• Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm 
• Monday: 9:00am-1pm (every second week)
• Additional weekday hours to cover leave are a plus

Duties include:

• Greeting patients and managing reception
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence
• Supporting frame and lens selection, fittings, delivery, and minor repairs
• Processing orders and maintaining accurate patient records
  
  (No lens cutting or edging required)

About You

• Customer-focused with front-of-house or retail experience
• Optical experience preferred but not essential
• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using computer systems (Optomate Touch an advantage)
• Professional, reliable, and keen to learn
