Optical Assistant – Part Time / Full Time

For more than 40 years, Kevin Hackett Optometrist has been proudly caring for the eyes of Geraldton and the Northwest community. As an independent practice, we are known for providing exceptional eye care, personalised service, and quality eyewear solutions tailored to each patient.

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional and motivated Optical Assistant to join our team in a part-time role.

About the role

As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience by:

• Welcoming patients with warmth, professionalism and genuine care
• Coordinating appointments and managing phone enquiries
• Assisting with administration, invoicing, banking and general office duties
• Working with practice management software and Microsoft Office application
• Supporting patients with their eyewear needs and helping them find the right solutions
• Contributing to the positive culture and high standards of our practice 

Who we’re looking for:

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems
• Previous reception, retail, customer service or healthcare experience (desirable but not essential)
• Availability for Saturday mornings and flexibility to assist with additional hours when required
• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering exceptional service 

No optical experience? No problem.
