Part-Time | Independent Practice

Fitzgerald Optometry is a well-established independent practice offering the kind of environment many Optometrists look for but rarely find - supportive colleagues, loyal patients, longer consult times, and the trust to focus on doing what’s right for your patients. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of three Optometrists in a practice that values genuine patient relationships, continuity of care, and a relaxed but professional culture.

What the role looks like

• Every second Saturday (4-hour shift)
• 30 - 40-minute consult times
• Broad patient demographic from children to mature age patients
• General optometry with variety across routine and clinical care
• Co-management with Ophthalmologists and GP referrals

Clinical Environment: Equipment including OCT, Visual Fields, Topography, Optos, and Iprofiler, allowing you to deliver thoughtful, full-scope patient care.

Many of the practice’s patients have been attending for years, giving you the opportunity to build genuine long-term relationships and continuity of care.

About You

Ideally, you will bring:

• Therapeutics qualification (preferred)
• A patient-first, clinically focused approach
• Confidence working independently while enjoying collaboration with your team

OA membership is included, with salary to be discussed based on experience.
