Fitzroy North Eye Centre is an established independent practice in Nicholson Village, providing personalised eyecare to a diverse patient community. With patients travelling from across Australia to visit the practice, the team is known for taking a considered, individual approach to vision and eye care.

We are looking for a qualified Optical Dispenser to join our team full time, bringing strong technical knowledge, a patient-first approach and an appreciation for quality dispensing.

The Role
You'll work closely with our Optometrists and practice team across dispensing, pre-testing and the broader patient journey, including:

• Providing personalised frame and lens recommendations
• Taking accurate measurements and coordinating spectacle orders
• Fittings, adjustments, repairs and aftercare
• Conducting pre-testing and supporting patients through the practice
• Helping patients understand their lens and eyewear options
• Managing orders and liaising with suppliers and laboratories
• Maintaining strong product and lens knowledge
• Contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice

This is a role for someone who enjoys the technical side of dispensing just as much as the people side, taking the time to understand each patient's needs and find the right solution for them.

About You
We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a qualification in Optical Dispensing
• Has previous optical dispensing experience
• Brings strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• Is confident discussing frames, lenses and dispensing options with patients
• Communicates well and enjoys being part of a collaborative team
• Values continued learning and professional development
