Optical Frame Stylist – Fixed Term

On Point Optical is an independent optometry practice in Glebe, where conversations, thoughtful eyewear choices and personal connections are part of the patient experience.

We’re looking for an Optical Frame Stylist to join us over our busy period on a fixed term contract. This could be a great opportunity for an optometry or health student to gain experience in a healthcare setting while contributing to the everyday running of a practice.

Days are flexible, with Saturday availability from 10am - 3pm preferred.

About the role

You’ll help patients feel welcome, listen to what matters to them and support them in finding eyewear that suits their needs and personal style.

Along the way, you’ll learn about our products and the stories behind them, bringing that knowledge into your conversations.

Your role will include:

• Welcoming patients and assisting with front-of-house enquiries.
• Helping patients explore frames and make eyewear selections.
• Sharing product details, including design, materials and brand backgrounds.
• Supporting appointments and everyday practice tasks to keep the patient journey running smoothly.

About you

You enjoy meeting people and feel confident starting conversations face to face. You’re curious, communicate clearly and take an interest in the person in front of you.

Previous retail or customer service experience would be highly regarded. Optical experience isn’t necessary; we can help you develop that knowledge. What matters is your ability to build relationships, listen well and connect with patients.

An interest in health and healthcare will help you make the most of the role, whether you’re studying in the field or exploring a future in the industry.
