Optometrist - Dual Clinical and Optical Role

Bridge Eye Care - Murray Bridge, SA - Full-time (New graduates welcome)

Looking for more variety than five days in the consulting room?

Established in the late 1940s, Bridge Eye Care is an independent practice with a longstanding connection to Murray Bridge and the surrounding region. Located approximately one hour from Adelaide, it offers the variety of regional optometry while keeping the city within easy reach.

Following a move into a larger, newly fitted practice, the team now has additional consulting rooms and the capacity to welcome another Optometrist.

Rather than spending five days in the consulting room, this dual role combines full-scope optometry with broader involvement across the patient journey. Your week will include:

• Approximately three days practising full-scope optometry
• Two days across dry eye management, diagnostic testing, pretesting and optical dispensing 

What the Role Offers

You’ll work with a broad range of patients and clinical presentations, with access to OCT, Optos, topography, meibography, visual fields and slit lamp photography.

You’ll also have:

• Time to develop meaningful patient relationships
• The opportunity to establish your own patient base
• Broader experience across clinical, diagnostic and optical care
• Mentoring tailored to your level of experience
• Support with continuing education and skill development 

About You

This opportunity could suit an experienced Optometrist looking for a more varied working week or a new graduate seeking broad exposure to how an independent practice delivers care.

You’ll bring:

• A recognised Optometry qualification, or be approaching graduation
• A genuine commitment to patient care and service
• A willingness to contribute across consulting and optical care
• Initiative, flexibility and an interest in continuing to learn 

The role is available from September, although Bridge Eye Care is prepared to wait for the right person, including a new graduate completing their studies.
